Scott Walker -Student Services
My name is Scott Walker and I graduated from Asheboro High School in 1995. I attended East Carolina University where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Economics. I received my teaching license in secondary math from NCDPI while teaching mathematics at Southwestern Randolph High School from 2002-2006. I earned my National Board Certification in Adolescence and Young Adulthood Mathematics while teaching at Randolph Early College High School from 2006-2010. I then returned to Asheboro High School in 2010 as a math teacher and department chair where I earned a Master’s degree in Executive Leadership Studies from Gardner-Webb University which allowed me to obtain my K-12 principal license. I developed and presented "The Highly Engaged Math Student” at the North Carolina Counsel of Teachers of Mathematics. I enjoy sports and have coached football, softball, and golf.
