Mrs. Marley Knapp is the Instructional Technology Facilitator for Uwharrie Charter Academy.  She is a Greensboro Native and has been in education for many years in various school systems across North Carolina.  She attended North Carolina State University for her Bachelors in Math Education and taught High School Math for several years in Guilford County.  Marley returned to school for a Masters in Technology Education at Appalachian State University and then spent some time in Wake County teaching business education classes and coaching teachers, helping them with technology integration.  She relocated back to the Triad where she spent many years in Davidson County as an Instructional Technology Facilitator coaching teachers in the many ways they can use digital resources and tools to re-invent their instruction. She most recently taught STEM and Technology at a Middle School in Guilford County.  She has returned to the job of Instructional Technology Facilitator and has joined us here at UCA. Working with teachers is Marley’s passion and she loves helping them get outside the box and innovate and re-imagine their classrooms, so that students can get the most out of their learning in a creative and collaborative environment.  Marley is married and has a daughter attending UNCC. She and the family love to get outdoors and camp, go boating, or just hang out in the backyard garden.
