SCHEDULE:
- Operates on a modified year-round calendar from August to June with typical holiday breaks and periodic breaks throughout the school year
- School day from 8:55 am to 3:15 pm (High School); 8:45 am-3:05 pm (Middle School); 8:35 am-2:55 pm (Elementary School)
- Semester classes for High School, Year long classes for Middle School and Elementary School
- 4 Periods a Day
- Friday hours are 8:55-12:45 for High School Students; 8:45 am-12:35 pm for Middle School students; 8:35 am- 12:25 pm for Elementary School students
HONORS/AP:
- Honors and AP classes available
- Weighted GPA credit
SPORTS:
- Athletics are available based on student interest and feasibility
- Sports include basketball, cheer leading, golf, soccer, cross-country, baseball, softball, tennis, volleyball, and wrestling
CLUBS:
- Social involvement in clubs is encouraged
- Interact Club (Rotary), Mock Trial. Drama Club, Gaming Club, Sustainable Business Forum, Key Club and more
ARTS:
- Randolph County’s only youth orchestra
- We also offer Beginning Guitar, Recycled Art, Chorus, Mural Art, History of Rock 'n' Roll, and Intermediate Art
LUNCH:
- Students may bring lunch from home with access to a refrigerator and microwave
- A hot lunch is offered for a small fee four days a week
- Chick-fil-A, salads, subs, pizza and more
FLEX DAYS:
- Internships in local businesses and institutions five days per year
- Partnerships include the NC Zoo, Crossroad Retirement Home, Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, Petty Garage, 99 Female Pilots Association, the CUOC, local potters and many more
