Thursday, March 12, 2020

CHAPEL HILL, NC – Due to the threat from COVID-19, the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) has made the decision to postpone the 2020 Men’s and Women’s Basketball State Championships indefinitely.

“As much as we would like this opportunity for our student-athletes, coaches, and their communities, we know that ultimately any decision we make must err on the side of caution,” said Commissioner Que Tucker.

The Board of Directors also moved to suspend interscholastic athletics beginning at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020 through Monday, April 6th, 2020. The NCHSAA Board of Directors will assess this situation regularly over the next few weeks. This includes all workouts, skill development, practices and contests.

She continues to assist with the Junior Learn to Sail Classes-in fact she assisted in all 3 juniors  learn to sail classes last summer.

She joined the High School Sailing Team after its first semester in 2018.

She took part in all the team’s regattas in 2019, except for one where she was injured and rode in the coach boat. She was half of the team that won second place at our Spring RTP  Interclub on Lake Crabtree and first at the Fall RTP Interclub on Jordan Lake.

No one has worked harder to make our team a success than she has-she is always there, always happy, always positive, always makes it fun.
