Maxine Wright is a lifelong resident of Randolph County. She joined the Asheboro Police Department in 1986. She worked as a Patrol Officer, Vice and Narcotics and as a Detective in the Criminal Investigations Division and specialized in investigations of Sexual Assault and Child Abuse as well as juvenile delinquency. She also worked as a School Resource Officer before being promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 1999. Wright was promoted to Lieutenant and then Master Lieutenant. She retired after a thirty year career.
Wright holds the North Carolina Criminal Justice Instructor Certification, and has received the Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate. She is a graduate of the Administrative Officers’ Management Program (AOMP) thru NCSU and has a two year degree in Criminal Justice from Randolph Community College. She currently works at Randolph Community College as an Adjunct Instructor for the ABLE program and the Basic Law Enforcement Training program.
